System Unit controls all the function of a computer. It also stores of information for you. It is also called Central Processing Unit (CPU). It works as brain of a computer.

Keyboard has alphabet keys, number key special function keys.
When you press the same letter/character is seen on the monitor.


MOUSE
A mouse is a pointing device. It has two buttons and a scroll wheel. Mouse controls the movement of arrow on the screen. It helps you to draw and make the work easy on a computer. A mouse should be kept on a mouse pad as it moves well on smooth surface.
PRINTER
Printer is used to print text or pictures on paper. The printout is called hard copy.


SPEAKER You can listen to music or to recorded sound by using speaker
MICROPHONE
You can speak with the help of a microphone. You can also record your voice by using it.

HEADPHONE
You can listen to recorded sounds, songs and voice using Headphone.

UPS
UPS is Uninterrupted Power Supply. A UPS keeps computer working for some time when the electricity goes off.

CK ROM’S AND DVD’S
A System Unit has a CD drive to put your CD. You can store the information on your CD with the help of a CD writer. Similarly, you can put your DVD in a DVD drive.
